Eco Couture featuring earth friendly fabrics:
Our hempsilk is a blend of 40% raw silk and 60% hemp, is sustainable and organic, and is produced under fair labor conditions using manufacturing processes which impact the environment in the most non-invasive way possible. The mill we work with specializes and is a pioneer in the development of hempsilk and several other organic luxury blend fabrics. After much searching, this is truly the highest quality, most luxurious hempsilk available worldwide. Other fabrics we use are natural shantung (doupioni, raw silk), natural silk satin, and natural silk chiffon. All styles are lined in natural silk.

Fair trade and fair labor practices:
All designs are constructed with the highest attention to detail and quality, and in accordance with fair trade and fair labor practices which include, but is not limited to the following:
Employees are:
- 18 years old or older
- paid above minimum wage, to earn a “living wage”
- work 8 hour days, 5 days a week.
- earn incentives and bonuses
- receive 2 weeks paid vacation per year and paid national holidays.
- 50% tuition re-imbursement for higher education in design related fields.

Who we are and why we're "Green":
Jessica Iverson's long time passion for being "Green" and for humanitarianism inspired the creation of Jessica Iverson Eco Couture. Jessica's Eco Couture brings together love of haute couture with care and responsibilty for the planet, and human rights.
Aware that the fashion industry is hugely draining on mother earth, Jessica strives to use organic, sustainable and socially responsible materials whenever possible, creating beautiful couture and peace for the planet at the same time.
Jessica began dreaming up gown designs at 13 years old in the Vermont farmhouse where she spent her childhood. At 21 years old, after pursuing her education in NYC and Los Angeles, Jessica launched her first bridal collection Maternity Bride, making her the first to design bridal exclusively for expectant women. She now resides in Santa Barbara, California, designing bridal and formal for "green" and/or expecting brides worldwide and raising her five year old daughter Anna Lee.
